Handmade from dark stoneware clay and glazed in metallic black

'Still' is an exploration of still life, shifting the purpose of bowls and vases from use to contemplation. Tonal gradation and repetition of a limited palette is used to create interactions between individual pieces. The objects are functional, but they do not need to be defined by their function.
